Updated Theme Song

Yes - the theme song has been updated.... I assume to make it more upbeat.
After 50 Episodes with the original theme song, it seems unfortunate to
update the theme song in the way that it was updated. The original is more
fitting, dramatic, cold, and hard as space sometimes can be. The writers
seemed to add additional human elements to the song by changing the tempo,
but this annoys me more than it does impress me. Do others feel this way?

I agree. I think the new song was just out of place with the pictures
that they show. i liked the original version.

I have WinMX and via that software I found the more fitting
"Star Trek" like theme that B&B originally had planned.

It's a lot like DS9's theme....very cool music.

They did the same thing with the DS9 theme. There, they added an uptempo
beat and added some drumbeats. Sucked. The first series went
...what...almost 40 years with the same theme and it was okay. ST:TNG
never changed the theme (unless so subtley that I never noticed it).
Sigh...if it ain't broke....don' fix it
